The Gold and Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas
The pawn shop Las Vegas is the real-life setting of the History Channel’s popular reality series, Pawn Stars. The show follows the day-to-day operations of Rick Harrison, Corey Harrison, and Austin “Chumlee” Russell in the business of selling items for cash, and buying high-end antiques and collectibles to keep or resell. The shop’s staff also consists of professional specialists who are called in to determine the authenticity and value of a customer’s item, a practice known as pawning.
Visiting the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop is a fun diversion for fans of the show, but it’s not a must-do activity for anyone visiting Las Vegas. The pawn shop is open for visitors to browse its collection of firearms, knives, currency, jewelry, sports memorabilia, and more. The shop also sells a selection of official Pawn Stars merchandise.
For those wanting a more guided experience, the shop now offers an official Pawn Stars VIP Tour that includes a limousine ride from the Strip to the pawn shop for $80 per person. The tour also includes visits to Count’s Kustoms, Danny Koker’s automobile restoration and customization company next door, and the shops of some of the other experts featured on the show. The tour is only offered on Tuesdays and Fridays. The stars of the show rarely make live appearances at the shop; instead, Rick bartends at his restaurant across the parking lot, Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ and Tavern, and Chumlee is often in his store, Chumlee’s Candy on the Boulevard, across the Pawn Plaza shopping center.
